A localized hiring spike draws a fraction of the applications a nationwide remote posting does.

Look sideways. Mid-sized regional firms and enterprise companies modernizing internal stacks tend to offer steady work, solid pay and a clearer path to owning a system outright, which is hard to find somewhere every service already has three owners.
